Now you know that I will have to ask where this is and it is prob somewhere famous, but I love the looks of it and would love to explore it.

so it looks like you are moving to ireland. wouldn't be my suggestion but hey "you gotta go where you gotta go" ;)
this image was inspired by your gallery, if you can't tell :D
:iconchoney25:
many thanks
it's about time, for a while there i was dragging with no inspiration.
:iconchoney25:
of course and i have the answer all ready for ya!
it is a star shaped design fort by the name of Charles Fort located in Kinsale Harbor, Ireland; built in between 1670-80. i believe the picture is of the ruined barracks. i have another shot from the fort but of the entrance [link]

i enjoyed exploring it for about a total of 5 minutes, that is how long it took me to freeze almost to death. that day was so windy and my coat was not warm enough and even my fave purple scarf couldn't keep my spirits up.

I hate it when that happens, one 4th of July I went to the woods camping in a tent for a week and only took shorts and little bra tops and it snowed for 3 days....

I was miserable and didn't even get any great photos like yours for my efforts.....

This fort looks like a great photo opportunity, hopefully if I get there, it will be warmer.....

don't go to ireland in May if you want warmer and bring warm jackets and sweaters, i wish i did. that fort is a great photo opportunity but i didn't take a whole lot of photos because i lost feeling in my fingers from the cold and couldn't hold on to the camera.

your ordeal is way worst than mine. i can't believe you lasted the entire 3 days!?! what a trooper. i would have ran home on foot...hehe i'm not sure what is worst the pain you endured or walking away with nothing to show for it.
:icontrippy4u:
I'm only traveling there in my mind then...

That is so cool and I thank you. Many of these "abandon" places are such photographic treasure troves. I love finding the hints of past life's within these once viable structures.
